DEESME commits with six ‘sister-projects’ for improving energy efficiency in SMEs at EUSEW event

19/10/2021 – Towards a decarbonized Europe: Increasing energy efficiency in SMEs for a clean energy transition – after the completion of its first year the DEESME project has joined forces with six related Horizon 2020 projects (INNOVEAS, E2DRIVER, SMEmPOWER, SPEEDIER, ICCEE and Triple-A) showcasing its results at an online event session in the context of EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW).

The joint cooperation of DEESME and its sister-projects within the EUSEW event 2021 lead to a successful interactive event, with high level panel discussions on guidelines and good practices needed to implement energy efficiency solutions and facilitate the energy transition for companies and SMEs.

SMEs have less workforce, technical and financial capacity to perform energy audits but also a high untapped energy saving potential which can be unlocked by overcoming structural, market and financial barriers. The event aimed at raise awareness about the multiple (energy and non-energy) benefits  deriving their energy efficiency.
